Two people I know are going to make a tag-team blog, and the anticipation is high. They are hesitant to launch because they want 5 posts drafted before creation. So far, it has been predicted to be "epic and legendary", since their friends primarily use exaggerated and overused vocabulary. The blog will contain some decent use of language though, and is primarily to be used as a way of bettering people's lives. More on that later..

I'm a Lifesaver

Today marks my sixth or seventh blood donation.
Donating blood is easy and fairly painless. I hake a point to donate every opportunity I can- and thus far I have never had to go out of my way to do so; every time I have donated blood was done at a local church or a school. It seldom takes more than an hour of your time, but every donation can save three to six lives. Every 2 seconds, someone in America is in need of blood, blood that can only come from a human donor. Today, blood remains beyond science's ability to be replicated, synthesized, or substituted. If you are 17 or older and more than 110 lbs, you're probably eligible (look here for a full list of eligibility requirements). Donated blood only lasts 42 days, and you can donate up to six times a year. Of the 38% of eligible Americans, only 8% of the population gives blood, and less than a third of first time donors ever donate again. Go to redcrossblood.org to find somewhere to donate, or consider volunteering. Every single time that I have donated, the people involved were very thankful for my help. Plus, they give you cookies and juice. What more could you want than cookies and juice?
